When it comes to realism nothing beats arma 2. Most servers you just can't jump in a jet or chopper and fly it unless you know how and there are servers where you are expected to follow orders but this is what this game is.a simulation so when you have missions to do I think this is good as it adds to the realism. Download that first then you'll be able to get on servers and play.Īnother thing you might find bad about the game is that they are a bit more strict in game. You just go a search on the internet for "latest arma II patch" and it will come up. The bad (continued): When you first install the game you'll be able to play single player but you will have to download the latest update to the game but this is free and it's called a PATCH. If you have a headset mic it is epic as there is nothi ng more awesome then flying into battle with about 15 guys in your chinook chopper and then charging the enemy bases. Another thing is that the arma fan base community creates what is called MODS which are basically free add-ons for the game and you can play maps like Iraq Fallujah and also insurgency which is house to house fighting like in Iraq setting. There are day and night time cycles with wind and rain and also night vision capabilities.
You can drag your teammates to safety or carry them to safety if they are wounded. This is not a game you just get into and play it has a learning curve to it but if you have a mouse with the wheel on it you basically can do a lot of commands by clicking down on your mousewheel and choosing commands.
